Coldwater Fish

We always have a very good selection of fancy goldfish in good health with very nice colours, we will stock a variety of shapes and sizes that will always include moors, celestials, lionheads, orandas, ryukins, bubble eyes, telescope eyes, pandas and hi head orandas. We sell English bred and also import from Hong Kong and Singapore.

Fantails are very popular, especially for the small kiddie's tank, but they do need to be looked after and we will always recommend the use of a filter, plus regular small water changes and good quality food. Our small starter tank is ideal.

The three golden rules of keeping coldwater fish are:

1. Well oxygenated water and good filtration

2. Regular water changes (20 % per week)

3. Variety of food and not to overfeed.

Live food

Live food is very beneficial to coldwater fish and feeding a variety of foods (not just dry foods) will help prevent the development of swim bladder problems.

We always have live food in stock like bloodworm, daphnia, brineshrimp and river shrimp.
