Tropical Fish
We specialize in tropical fish and have found the demand for variety and quality has increased. We will only stock the highest quality tropical fish.
These always include the basic community fish like tetras, guppies, mollies, platties, angels, barbs, sharks and corydoras catfish, as well as a few oddballs. We will be expanding our tropical section in the future to include a Malawi/Tanganyika section, a discus section and an L- number section; this will expand our system from 56 tanks to 112 tropical tanks.
Most of the tropical fish we sell are imported from South East Asia; countries like Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Malaysia and Hong Kong.
Loricariids will be imported from time to time from Brazil and Columbia. Please call for up to date stock list on all l-types.
All fish are fully quarantined before being offered for sale to ensure good health and quality . All our fish systems have u.v sterilization units as part of the filtration, so disease is never a problem. The Fish Lodge staff will be happy to guide you through the choices available when first starting you aquarium and a fact sheet will be available in store, please ask.
PLANTS
We stock a good selection of tropical plants and will always have the popular bunched or potted plants in stock; also we sell planted bogwood which creates an instant finish to the aesthetics of your aquarium and is very popular.
Plants are very beneficial to the aquarium, helping to create a natural environment and aiding natural filtration
